Based on traditional designs originating from the picturesque Friuli region in the 19th century, the Friulane were once the resilient companions of farmers but over time its design was prized as elegant footwear of nobility. Crafted from repurposed materials, they soon found favor among Venetian gondoliers for their non-slip soles and comfort.
